Having worked as a Retail Manager for a few years after leaving university, I changed careers and started working in IT in my mid-twenties. I started as an analyst on the IT Service Desk, moving into IT Planning and Performance Management which provided me with huge insight into all aspects of IT. I’ve since worked as an IT Manager in Operational, Transformation and Change roles, within both the Financial Services and Retail Sectors, so I’ve got an excellent breadth of experience and knowledge, plus a great network which has been invaluable to me over the years!
I work with Doris as a Client Delivery Manager, supporting business development activities and ensuring customer satisfaction. I also mentor the trainees on each of my accounts which is hugely rewarding. I love the Doris model - from a customer perspective you’re helping young people to get their break into Business and IT, and you get the assurance of great calibre candidates, and as a trainee you are supported, trained and mentored throughout your assignments – the power of this should not be underestimated and it’s something I’m proud to be a part of.
Something else I’m very proud of is my Living with Molly fundraising committee; since I founded the group in 2009 we have raised over £60,000 for the Christie hospital in Manchester and we’re always planning the next big event which is guaranteed to be lots of fun. With this, 2 teenagers and a busy social life, life is never dull!!
